Luan Gallery hosts Halloween mask-making workshops for children with local artist Claire Guinan. Children will be encouraged to take inspiration from the spooky themes and monstrous figures in Kevin Mooney’s current exhibition, Tuberclerosies, design and create unique faces and characters using a variety of techniques and materials, and then wear their creations for Halloween!
Pre-booking is essential for all events. Please note that each workshop session is aimed at a specific age range, and parents must ensure they book a suitable session for their child’s age.

Athlone Castle was first built to defend the crossing point on the River Shannon and evolved into a bold defensive structure over the centuries. Elements of the original castle can still be seen today.
We tell the story of settlement in this part of Ireland’s Ancient East, from the Neolithic period through Viking, and Medieval ages to modern life in Athlone.
